I started receiving kudos notifications today when I changed the status of some tickets.
It goes something like "Kudos for keeping the information up to date".
It is really ANNOYING and useless.
How do I disable those notifications? Could not find it.
Hi @Diane Lamoureux, welcome to the community! Check out this Community Article and see if it's turned on for your user.
If it is, you should be able to turn it off from your Personal Settings page. I would also refer you to JRACLOUD-84375 on Atlassian's Jira Site. You can Vote for and watch that for updates. I would hope that users can turn that off if they don't want it after the functionality has been implemented, as I know my users aren't going to like it.
Hope that helps.
Hi @Dan Breyen
Where do you see the ability to disable that message?
I have had "Jira labs" disabled for several years and the "New issue transition experience" is off as well. This message seems independent of both settings.
Kind regards,
Bill

Hey @Bill Sheboy I wasn't getting any off the 'Kudos' messages with the 'New issue transition experience' turned off by default. I turned it on to see if I would get the messages, and sure enough, that's when the Kudos messages started showing up.
SO, I went, and turned that off, but the Kudos messages are not going away. So it's kinda related, but now I don't know how to get rid of it, and I'm not going to have happy users.
If you don't have it on, I'd leave it off.
There's also references to the kudos on this community article

FYI: I did NOT turn the new transition thing on - and I am still getting those kudos.
In any case, I voted for this suggestion: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-84375
Thanks for your answers.

Hi @Diane Lamoureux and @Bill Sheboy I opened a Support Ticket yesterday, and got a reply that the development team has rolled this functionality back for all users.
I'm no longer seeing the 'Kudos' messages. You shouldn't be seeing this functionality any more.

Is it not part of this new "kudos" function, with badges, challenges, etc.?
I doubt it is not an OOTB thing. No one at our organization would implement such a thing.

Welcome to the community.
This is not an ootb Jira functionality, it could be a 3rd party app is installed that is responsible for this.
Can you share screenshots?

That message is built-in, and appears from this view:
I do not see any suggestions in the backlog yet to remove / disable it.
Kind regards,
Bill
