Hello,

We have a big problem with Indexing performance.

We want living without indexes.

Can we fully disable/remove indexing from out JIRA instance?

Thanks in advance,

Denys.

Hi Denys,

You can just remove the index files, but I'm afraid you'll face many misbehaviours on JIRA -- gadgets, issue navigator, etc, are highgly dependent of the indexes. So I don't recommend you doing this.

Generally indexes performance issues are related to:

- Poor disk performance;
- Network connectivity (in case of a remote storage);
- Operational System problems;

I suggest you to check the disk speed according described here:

Hi Lucas,

I have tested disk with Support Tools Utility described in this link https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Testing+Disk+Access+Speed

And it turned bad results.

Thanks for your answer,

Denys.
