Disable CAPTCHA for API User

Is there a way to turn off CAPTCHA for a single user?

I have a local JIRA user account that is used for API calls only.  My enduser is telling me he keeps getting hit with a CAPTCHA when trying to log in as this user and he is unable to get past it.

I did see this question has been asked a time or two in the past, but there haven't been any updates in the last 2ish years, so I figured I'd ask again just in case it's a newer feature.

Hi,

Unfortunately that has not changed in the recent past.  There is still a bug open that you can find at JRASERVER-40362.  Please vote on the issue and add your use case to the comments so we can get some traction on that request.

Cheers,

Branden
