Differences between onDemand and Download?

Cocomore AG June 3, 2012

Hi,

we are using the onDemand Version of Jira, but we have also tested the dowload version. We have seen some differences between the both Versions, the interfaces are quite different and you find some option and configurations on different menus. The most how to's and white papers are for the download version, so that we don't find some options like they are shown in the whitepaper.

Maybe you can help us and tell us something about the differences.

The Atlassian OnDemand applications are based on downloadable versions of Atlassian products in a controlled and stable environment, with regurlar maintenance and its also upgraded automatically. However there are few restrictions, you can refere to the below links for more information:

In the downloadable versions you can basically do anything you wish to, and our support team still provide support, but you will handle the upgrades and maintenance for the products.

the Atlassian OnDemand documentation home is available here :
