Difference between Backlog and Issues in Scrum Project

Abul Khair January 2, 2018

We have created a Scrum project and wanted to understand the difference between Issues and Backlog. Our expecting is that we will track all enhancements requests in the project and we will move them to different sprints.

When I create an item in this project it gets listed under Issues and the Backlog is empty.

Do I need to create the same item in Backlog too?53.jpg

Issues are lists of issues in the project.

Backlog is the list of issues that are selected by the board filter, and are ready to be worked on.

Have a look at the board configuration, it should give you the filter for what it is selecting for backlog and the board.  You will also need to check that the columns match (an issue that will not show on the board cannot be in the backlog)
