Hi Community,

I wonder if you know how to configure.

Is it possible to configure Jira to only finish up with an issue if a field is filled out?

For example an issue is created by mailimport. Normally you have to fill required fields on creating. But not in that case. So I want to say, that the issue can only be solved, if that fields are filled with data. Otherwise a hint should appear which tells the user to fill out that fields. Let's say Field "Component" and "Categroy" have to be filled to be able to solve an issue.

Is that possible?

With Best Regards,

Mario

If you have the jira suite utilities installed you can require fields at transitions. Simply require those fields on the transition to close/resolve.
