Default text renderer with user mentions

Teemu Niemi September 5, 2019

Can I get text renderer with only @usermentions -effect?

In our enviroment, we have noticed that automatic emails send by for example system control services are altered by wiki renderer.

For example when text starts with "***" text is formatted for list. This can cause problems, when urgent messages are investigated and messages are altered when not needed. This could be averted by using text renderer, but our users are very fond of user mentions "@user" which work only in wiki renderer.

The only way to do that would be to developer a JIRA Addon in JAVA.

This seems to cover it but is for an old version and shouldn't be used "as-is", but as a reference to start your work.

There's no out-of-the-box solution for this.

Thanks for answer. I had a hunch for this, but I needed to ask anyway. Now I can inform my team about this and this solves one issue. I wrote a suggestion to Atlassian about this, but it probably will get buried in time.
