Default sprint name in a project and possibility to change default sprint name

Hisamitsu Koga July 13, 2017

Is default sprint name in a project defined anywhere? Is it possibole to change default sprint name? Let me assume the following scenario.

1. Someone in my project create a first sprint "XXX YYY ZZZ"

2. I create a next sprint. At this point sprint "XXX YYY ZZZ 2" is created. After create a next sprint, prefix "XXX YYY ZZZ" is added. However, I don't prefer this prefix "XXX YYY ZZZ", so want to change.

First of all, is this naming rule as normal JIRA Agile feature? Prefix "XXX YYY ZZZ" is defined anywhere in my project or other? Is it possible to change prefix?

Also, after deleting a first sprint "XXX YYY ZZZ", can this naming rule be reset?

Here is the Atlassian documentation that answers this question: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-jira-suggests-sprint-names-957140727.html

Yeah, I have this problem. When you complete a sprint and move issues into a new sprint from there, the sprint name should obviously be based on the sprint that you jsut completed. This is pretty irritating.
