Hello, I am currently having an issue when trying to create a ticket by using the blue Create button i used to get the default issue for each project. But since yesterday I am only getting the epic and it doesn't change to the default of each project. I have checked all the projects and they seem to have the default issue set.
Can anyone let me know how I can change that please?
Hello @Nikolaos Vlachos - Please check on this doc - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-change-the-default-issue-type-displayed-at-the-create-issue-screen-when-a-user-creates-an-issue-for-the-first-time-in-a-specific-project-707986896.html
This doc will help you set the default issue type if the issue is being created for the first time.
Thanks,
Hi Bharat,
I already have all the default issues in my projects set to be tasks-stories or any other issue type. The problem I have is when I am pressing the Blue Create Button then I am not getting my default value but I am getting Epic even if I switch project. The issue type will remain as Epic. Hope that makes sense.

Hey @Nikolaos Vlachos - It does make sense, but I think the problem is you used "epic" for the last issue created. Jira always picks that and override that and that is user to user.
So for example - If i used "Story" to create my last issue, jira will automatically show me "story" on my default issue even though the default issue type is epic.
Please see the screenshot below from the doc -
Please let me know if this is the case for you as well.
Thanks,
-bharat

Thank you Bharat, that makes sense. Don't see the point of having a default issue if it will be overridden but okay :) Thank you very much for your time.
