Deaktivate the Email Notification

Hi there,

We are using JIRA in a DMZ for spezified Projects.

Is there a possibility to deaktivate the Email Notification? If i create a new User, they sould get an Email for the Login details, but we won't configure the SMTP Server for Jira.

Maybe the problem is that some SMTP severs need authentication.You need to specify the SMTP username and password. I have found a solution that can convert e-mail to SMS messages. It works with Sugarcrm well (sms-integration.com/p_197-sugarcrm-sms.html)

Actually i dont want to convert the email to sms messages, i would like to deactivate the notificatioins and set the passwords manually for the jira users.
