Customizing 'Recently Created Chart' gadget in JIRA

Hi,

I am a JIRA user and we are currently using JIRA v7.1.1#71004. I am creating a personalized dashboard to show some statistics of Issues created by our users. For this I am using 'Recently Created Chart' gadget.

I would like to know if there is a way to set date range (for example: 1/1/2016 - 3/31/2016) for this gadget and show results for that period.

Any assistance would be appreciated..!

I'm afraid it does not have a date range in it, just "how many days back do I look?"
