Customize Export to Excel's layout and look & feel

Is there a way to customize the look and feel of the Export to Excel, i.e. I want to change the table style, apply background color to rows with particular statuses?

This needs to happen natively - the export to excel should do all this. I don't wish to run macros on exported excel to achieve this.
