Custom field which created will it be reflected in already existing issue

we create the issue . than we are deleting some custom fields. but its not effect to previous issues. how is possible?????

example .....

we are create 5 issues .  environment and platform are custom fields.(single picker)  after that we are change environment and platform single picker to cascading..  so these changes are showing in current create issues.  but not reflect on previous issues.

Hi,

you did not delete the custom field, you just changed the way, you select the values.

So, as long as the custom field or existing options from that field are not deleted, the "old" values in the issues still remain.

When you make changes to custom fields, you should reindex for the changes to reflect on existing data.

You can either do that through the Administration section or you can reindex a single project as well.
