Custom field cannot be found if empty/null


I have added a new mandatory field. Now I want to find older issues which do not have this field set so I can set it. But "FieldName is EMPTY" (or null, or using = ) does not work.

Have you done a reindex after adding this new custom field?

What type of field is it, and what do you mean by "does not work"?  An error?  No results?  Where did you add the field to (was it global?)


the type is radiobutton, it is not global. There are no result when I search with "is empty" or null.
