Crucible users are no longer to access the Crucible project configuration page

Robert Bridenbecker February 18, 2013

Hi, we have non-administrative users who are restricted to specific projects. In Jira, they have project lead access and can do some basic project-level administration.

These users say they were previous able to access the Crucible configuration page for their projects, where they can configure their reviewers, etc... But they said they lost that functionality a few weeks ago, possibly around Jan 27th upgrade.

Is there any method to allow non-administrative users to access their Crucible project configuration page?

Hi, the feature went away in one of the recent OnDemand updates.

Atlassian support says:

There were updates to the administrative menus in OnDemand; you may have seen the banner announcement at the top of your instance last month announcing this. Unfortunately, there's no way to provide this access to non-administrative users.

I hope there is work going into dividing up the Administrative responsibility into multiple roles. It makes sense to have day-to-day changes like this Crucible configuration available to someone at the Project Lead level, so the Global Administrator doesn't get bogged down with trivial tasks.

Hi Rob,

I'm not completely sure if something has changed on the OnDemand side that would change this behavior.

Please feel free to create a Support ticket to get a more in-depth analysis of the issue.
