Hello,

Also check your log files. For example, if you haven't configured the right settings for either assigning a default reporter or creating unknown users, then if the issue comes from an email JIRA can't assign to a user, JIRA will NOT create the issue and spit out useful message in the atlassian-jira.log file

Thank you for your answers! I found out from my mail server admin that our mail server was not receiving NO SSL connection, now I am connecting using pop3 sll port:995, it is throwing certifcate error below:

protocol 'pop3s': javax.mail.MessagingException: Connect failed;

nested exception is:

javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

javax.mail.MessagingException: Connect failed;

Now I will install the ssl certificate under jre/lib/security/cacerts folder on JIRA application server and try again.
