I'm configuring JIRA for my organization and I faced this problem. I manage a structure of 2 levels (issues & sub-tasks) and several project groups. I need only people from group 1 creates Issues but other groups can create only sub-tasks. Any group member can view either issue and sub-task.
I checked in the permissions configuration but there is only the option to allow or block the creation of any kind of issue.
Is there any way to create the kind of permission I need? maybe a way to associate the groups with some kind of issuetypes.
