Create a query based on another query?

I have a basic query I use every sprint to capture all issues across multiple projects. Then I have a bunch of other queries to find subsets of that (ready to test, no tester assigned, etc.) Is there a way to build the queries for the subsets that references the main query? It would be great if I only had to update one query every sprint.

You can use the "savedFilter" function.

filter = 12000and assignee = jsmith
