Create New Incident From Customer Details Page

Our company is migrating over to JIRA which will manage a huge part of my tech support responsibilities. The admin. was able to successfully import our client list and contact info from a spreadsheet... which is great. To open a new "incident" I was assuming that  I would be able to do a search for one of our clients (success), the client page would open and display all of their contact info (success), and then I would be able to open a new "incident" using that client info displayed (fail). That seems like a no-brainer but the admin. says he doesn't know how and if that can be done. I'm here to find out. Any feedback appreciated. Cheers.
