Hi,

I would like it that certain groups of users can create an issue type and others that then are assigned or named in a custom field could create sub tasks. It appears when setting these fields against the create issue permission it allows all users to create the issues.

Is there a work around for this?

Thanks in advance

Dan

there is no restriction on sub-tasks atm

"create issues" can be restricted within permission scheme...as you already found out

you may watch&vote that ones

so am I correct in believing that adding the asignee or by a user field to the create permission does not carry out any validation and is therefore not valid?

As currently I wish to restrict only the user who has created an issue to create a sub task - it appears anyone can create a sub task. The only way around this is to restrict users to be able to browse those they have created, but this is not suitable.
