Copy "labels" from parent to child

So I've been thinking and researching this scenerio for a couple of hours, and I can't quite believe that this is not possible:

1. I'm using Jira Plans to establish two extra hierarchy levels "Objective" and "Key Result"

2. I'm connecting Epics to Key Results through the Plans-CustomField "Parent Link"

3. Now I want to create an automation where everytime the "Parent Link" field in the Epics get's updated, the parent labels get copied to it.

I can't seem to be able to figure out, how to access values from the parent, to copy it to the child.

Hi Nicolas,

unfortunately the example is not useful because I don't use classic issue linking, but the build in relation that's used when I use the "parent link" field.
