Hi Friends,
I want a help to implement a contingency plannning, for Jira running on tomcat and supposing my configuration is simple as possible on an vm machine, what is the best advice to strat the job?
Best Regards
So, if i understand you correctly, you want a solution for recovering your jira instance with all the data in the unlikely event of a data crash.
I would advise you to take a backup of the database using the native database tools every night or more frequently if you want.
You will also need to take backup of attachments, avatars on a periodic basis
You need to take a backup of the configuration files such as dbconfig.xml, any custom plugins that you may have installed, and any other files you have modified in your system. You need to back these every time you make a change to these files.
Have a look at this URL.
