Connection issue in JIRA 4.4.4

Hi,

How can I retrieve issue details in JIRA version 4.4.4?

I tried in java using SOAP APIs as given in https://developer.atlassian.com/display/JIRADEV/Creating+a+JIRA+SOAP+Client
