Connecting self-hosted Confluence to on-demand Jira

We have configured a self-hosted confluence instance, which gets is user information synced from our Active Directory/LDAP, and an on-demand instance of JIRA for a small subset of our organization with a small number of on-demand configured JIRA users.

Is there a way they can connect to each other? I seem to get stuck at configuring user-authentification as there is no way to tell JIRA nor Confluence with JIRA user account connects to a specific Confluence user. Although both of them use our corporate e-mail adress as User Name.

Hey Jo,

There are a couple of pre requisites to connect a self host product with our Cloud application as you can see in below page:

Can you validate if your Confluence is accessible trough port 80 or 443?

Also to achieve that you will need to use Oauth authentication mode so your local users will provide their JIRA cloud user to authenticate.
