Connecting JIRA to an Internal Directory with LDAP authentication

Ana Preda May 5, 2014

What happens when we delete users from the remote LDAP directory? Is the user in the Internal Directory with LDAP authentication affected? According to the documentation it shouldn't be.

“On LDAP, all that the application does is to check the password. The LDAP connection is read only” https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA061/Connecting+to+an+Internal+Directory+with+LDAP+Authentication.

Thanks,

Ana

Hi Ana, if you delete the user from your LDAP, the user in JIRA directory won't be deleted, but this user won't be able to authenticate anymore.

Cheers
