Configure the default linkage type within a Jira Plan

Within Products --> Dependencies, I can define which linkage types are available within a Jira Plan.

However, I don't think I can configure which of the configured linkage types will be used when linking issues using the drag-and-drop functionality.

It seems to just use the first linkage type alphabetically (i.e. BLOCKS).

Is there a way to configure this?

I know I could remove BLOCKS from this configuration, but then we're losing the ability to see those existing linkages.

Hi @Peter Norris

This is by default set in the code that this is "Blocks".

This is unfortunate not configurable.

Thanks for the reply, Marc.

This is what I suspected!

I actually removed the configuration within Jira Plans so that "Blocks" was not available, then went back into a plan - when I did a drag-and-drop link, it actually picked up the next linkage type in order of the alphabet!

So I think that "Blocks" is not hard-coded as such, but the code just sorts the linkage types and grabs the first one.

Thanks for the link; I've voted for it.

Pete.
