Component changes impact on "Created vs. Resolved Issues Report"

I'm using "Created vs. Resolved Issues Report" with a simple query which looks like this: "project = project_A AND issuetype = Bug AND component = component_B".

Could someone please help me answer these questions:

  1. If a Bug was created against component_X on January 1 and reassigned to component_B on January 10, will this report include this issue as Created on January 1 or on January 10?
  2. If a Bug against component_X was moved to component_B on February 1 and then was resolved on February 10, will this report include this issue as Resolved on February 1 or February 10?

I believe the report is always generated based on the current status of data:

  1. Issue was created on January 1, component change does not have any impact on date of creation (it is still the same - January 1)
  2. Issue was resolved on February 10. If it has component_B, this issue will be included in the report. If you remove the component_B, then next time you create the report, this issue will not be in it.

We use Component as a proxy to the team (each team is modelled as a component). I'm interested in the report on incoming and resolved bugs for my team (component) with the following caveat: a bug can be directly created with my team's component or it can be reassigned to my team (by changing the component). I would like to see this bug in the report on the day it was assigned to my team, and you are saying this is not how the report works. Also, when a bug is reassigned from my team, I would like to treat it as resolved in the report, again, it seems this is not how the report works.

Thoughts or suggestions?
