Compatibility Script runner 3.x with Jira 6.2

Clemens Luebbers April 30, 2015

We are running Script runner 3.0.7 on our JIRA 6.2.7 test environment. While everything seems to work, the plugin is shown as "incompatible". Therefore management is reluctant to deploy the plugin on 6.2.7 production environment.

I remember some communication from Jamie, stating that 3.0 is compatible with 6.2 but that the compatibility was not confirmed to avoid having the rewritten plugin on two many production systems.

Is it planned to confirm 6.2 compatibility for any 3.x version of the plugin?

Thanks.

Clemens,

We are working on officially marking ScriptRunner 3.x as compatible and should have further news on that soon.

The main task we face is to ensure there is compatibility with IE8.

In the meantime, if you're company is not using IE8, then we'd recommend you try it out in a staging environment to be sure.

Mark

Clemens,

Officially, you should use version 2.x with JIRA 6.2 according to https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.onresolve.jira.groovy.groovyrunner/versions

If it's working on JIRA 6.2.x, you could use it, but at your own risk...

wink
