Clearing Field value and Hidding

Hi,

Our requirement is to hide 'Priority' field at the same time clear its value (Set to None) when the issue type of an existing issue is updated from 'ABC' to 'XYZ'.

Similarly, we want to show the 'Priority' field again when the issue type of an existing issue is changed from 'XYZ' to 'ABC'.

Can someone please recommend what is correct approach to achieve this?

When you use different issue type screen schemes for both issuetypes you can make 2 view screens. one for type ABC which has the priority field on it, the second one for type XYZ that does not have a priority field.
