Changing jira default timezone to match Confluence default Timezone

Sirio Booth October 27, 2014

I'm changing the jira default timezone from America/Los_Angeles to UTC to match Confluence Timezone. Currently getting Authorization error between the two. My question is, would this update the timestamp on all current jira issues? or only new issues?

Thanks Luciano,

Let's say the user doesn't have the timezone set and inherits the system timezone. After this change, will it update all his old JIRA issues or only the new ones he creates?

Sirio,

The time-zone displayed on the ticket is based on the user time-zone that has been set on his profile. In case none is set, it will inherit the system timezone. For the auth error we need to pay attention if the JVM timezone is the same for both apps. You can refer the documentation below on how to change the timezone directly on the JVM startup input arguments.

Hope it helps!
