Changing a Username in JIRA for Microsoft AD users

hi ,

I am having a Microsoft AD users in delegated LDAP user directory of JIRA.  how can i change the username of all the users in JIRA.

Example : we were using username for user Tom Riddle as triddle now we want to change this username to riddlet 

1) If i change the username of user in AD will it reflect? 

2) Can i convert the all delegated LDAP users to internal directory users : this will make the task much easy and my AD will not be affected.

Do you want to change the display name or user name. If yes, you can change it. If you change the user name , you can't authenticate with AD.

Thanks for your reply, I want to change  Username and not the display name. That is why i wanted to know the best way to change username.
