Changing Base URL - Doesn't Reflect in Client Machines

Ramabadran R April 1, 2013

HI All,

I had installed JIRA in my server. I can able to access the JIRA as localhost "http://localhost:8080" from the server. I want to access this JIRA from other machines also.

I had tried changing the base url to "https://mycompany.com:8080". But its not working. I had searched all the things, but i cant able to find the solution.

Whether i need to do any other changes like, restarting the service, restarting the server, xml changes..

Note : I am very new to this JIRA and also this Forum.

Hi, as Onkar said try to do ping to server from the client machine to check if it is visible and here's another possible solution to this:

Hi Ramabadran,

Please confirm from network admin that machine (where JIRA is installed) is LIVE IP or not and also try from other machine http://<IP address>:8080.

Secondly try to ping the machine where JIRA is installed.
