Change version picker custom field to use the search of Fix Version field

Hello,

I have a custom field of version picker called: "Base on Version".

By clicking on the version of this field, I want users to be able to see all the issues that are relevant to this version.

For example:

Base on Version: RC1

Fix Version: RC2

-----------------------

By clicking on "RC1" the JQL will be

project="ProjectXXX" AND "Fix Version"="RC1"

Currently, when clicking on RC1 I get:

project="ProjectXXX" AND "Base Version"="RC1"

Is it possible?

Thanks,

That would require code change in the core of Jira.

It would also introduce an annoying inconsistency - when a user clicks on a field result, the search returned is for the field they've clicked on.  Your spec would return a search that has nothing to do with the field they are clicking on.
