Change to Administration->General Configuration->Settings->Email from not taking effect in JIRA 4.0.1#471

Hi,

two weeks back I briefly experimented with changing the "Email from" setting in JIRA.

I quickly returned the value to the default of "${fullname} (JIRA)".

But the setting will simply not take effect.

I restarted JIRA, flushed instances, tried to reapply the setting but it seems stuck.

Can anyone help?

BTW prior to the change "${fullname}" would expand to the name of the user who was logged in.

Added images which show the setting and the problem.

This is still true under JIRA 5.0. Does anyone know a fix for this?
