Change database under JIRA - how to?

Hi All,

if we want to change the database under the JIRA e.g. from the default hs to MySQL what parameters, files need to be changed?

One is the dbconfig.xml which needs to be created and put to Home. What else? Do we need a restart?

What about JIRA4 and lower versions? These don't have dbconfig.xml.

Thanks in advance,

Rumi

Hi

For jira 5 and above you need to provide your database host, database schema, database user and password in the dbconfig.xml.

For versions 4 and below, the sme configurations are to be provided in server.xml.

Have a look at this URL

For jira 4.4 and lower

For jira 5.0 or higher
