Trying to figure out how to get a post function to transition linked issues to next status in their workflow when transitioning source ticket?

Hi Gabe,

I'm afraid Jira can't do that out of the box. 

To achieve this you'll need a 3rd party plugin. I'd use either ScriptRunner or JMWE.
