The Atlassian Webseite tells me, that JIRA is available in many different languages - but I don't find the switch for the language in my JIRA OnDemand.

Where can I change the language?

Yes, but I only have "English" in the dropdown box and so cannot switch to another language.

Oh right! They never continue with this. There's an issue created about this:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AOD-801

There are many questions about this and all say the same thing as here:

Hi Stefan,

Unfortunatelly due to some limitations OnDemand is only avaliable in English, this page explains that in further detail: https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=253231622

There's also a improvement request regarding this here, I strongly recommend you to vote for it so it increases it's priority: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AOD-801

Hope this information helps!

Cheers,
Marlon

Stefan, thanks for pointing that out! JIRA OnDemand has a set of restrictions that differ from JIRA standalone (those are outlined here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Restricted+Functions+in+Atlassian+OnDemand) and Atlassian is currently looking into ways to make that more transparent to users.

In face of that I've opened a ticket on jira.atlassian.com to change the Full Features page to inform of the language restrictions: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-32760 I recommend you to vote for it (so it increases it's priority) and add yourself as a watcher (if you wish to receive updates).

Again, thanks for the feedback and apologies for any confusion our documentation might have caused.

Regards,
Marlon
