We have recently lost the person that set our JIRA account up. I have logged into his account and changed the email to mine, however I cannot change the user name.
It simply says:
You cannot rename yourself
How can I rename my self, or transfer the admin rights to another account?
Although you can't rename yourself, you can create a temporary user with Administrator capabilities (user who's in administrator and site-admins groups) to access the User Management and rename the user you want, thereafter you can delete the temporary created user.
