Challenges in Configuring Application link

Hi All,

 

I Just wanted to ask if in Two JIRA server which are running on https , what are the challenges we can face in configuring applicaiton link if USERBASE in both the instances are not same?

Hi Avdhesh, 

 

Regarding the different userbase, this shouldn't be a problem. As mentioned, oauth should work. Please have a look into this documentation:

Hi Avdhesh,

  • Before configuring App link between https instance make sure you import SSL certificate into Java Keystore of each application. 

  • Also you need JIRA administrator permission on both the JIRA instance to configure reciprocal link.
  • Since both application has different userbase you can use OAuth authentication between this two instances.
