In JIRA we have a security level setting called "3rd Party". To this we have assigned certain user groups so they can see the issues. Let's say these two groups are: "Internal Users" and "3rd Party".
In Confluence we have used the JIRA macro to display certain tickets. For some reason users in the "3rd Party" user group cannot see the results, which have the correct security level set, as they do not have the necessary privileges? They can see all other content on the page apart from this table.
Does anyone have any ideas.
Dear @Chris Banks,
to make this cross visibility possible, you need the same user directory or at least a correct user mapping.
The Issue macro sends the user Id to Jira, that tries to resolve it an if found resolves the visibility.
This includes also groups. If user A is in Confluence in a local group "3rd party" and in Jira also in a local group "3rd Party",t they are not equal.
Can you please give a little bit more details on your specific Jira / Confluence configuration?
So long
Thomas
Hi @Thomas Deiler,
We use the same user groups in JIRA and Confluence - as in they are shared. When creating a new user we tend to do so in JIRA selecting access to Confluence as part of it.

Do you have automatic sign-on active, means, if one user logs inside Confluence, he/she doesn't have to dot his for Jira again?'

Just to cross check - when you disable the security scheme (or set to 'none' for one issue) in Jira, the issue macro shows information, or?
