Cas client - server configuration

Bahar Çağlar September 10, 2012

I have a soulwing cas client for jira <4.4.3> integration for single-sign on. I want to install jasig cas client for the jira 5.0.1.

I wonder that I need to make any changes to cas server or not?

If I upgrade the jira and make jasig configurations, it will work or not?

Thanks in advance

Hi Paulo,

What is the reason that CAS client is officially deprecated ?

To make it clear - Soulwing CAS client is not maintained anymore, JASIG CAS client is maintained, and although you should build it from sources at the moment (as version 3.3 supporting newer versions of JIRA and Confluence is not released yet).

Hi Bahar

I believe that your case is related to the following one:

Also, please bear in mind that CAS client is officially deprecated, which could be, in the future, the root cause for security or performance issues.

Cheers,

Paulo Renato

Unfortunately ıt is not related. I wonder that cas server will need to be configured after jasig cas client configuration to jira or not?

I answered that question https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/76192/cas-authentication-with-jira-5 :)
