Cannot see previous JIRA FixVersion

Rajiv Tarafdar December 10, 2012

Hi,

Since the recent upgrade of JIRA to this new version, we seem to have lost details of previous FixVersions associated with the project. I cannot find them anywhere under the Agile or other Configuration options.

It looks like FixVersion has been replaced by Sprints and no mapping is available to port the old FixVersion to Sprints.

Can you please assist in extracting the information on the old FixVersion?

Thank you

Hi,

I am unable to use the Rapid Board to see previous FixVersion thus ising Classic Boards.

I belive this is the only alternative unless you advice otherwise.

Regards,

Rajiv

Taraf/Rajiv,

The new boards are designed after a lot of feedback from customers to decouple the FixVersion and Sprints. Only with this we can support multiple projects as fixVersion is always tied to a project. These were the design principles for coming to that decision. Some links for your reference.

And Classic boards are still available if it offers your better usability that the new boards.

Hi Taraf,

You probably don't have an account at http://support.atlassian.com but you can create one at https://support.atlassian.com/secure/Signup!default.jspa

As for the issues not displaying on the boards, please see the configuration of it and check the 'Task Board' mapping. I'd say maybe the status of your issues is not mapped there, so they won't be displayed, but we can only be sure by taking a loog at your instance.

Also, when you add an issue to a sprint, there is no way of backing dating that, it will show the actual date you have added the issues to the sprints.

Cheers,

Clarissa

In the Classic board I am now able to see the old iterations for Charts and Planning however the task board is still empty and I cannot see my tasks and Stories under them. Can you please let me know how I can either more the tasks and stories from FixVersions to Sprints or migrate them.

On another note, we have already started the current sprint. How do I add my stories and tasks to the current sprint back dated?

It shows all tasks added as of 11th December 2012 instead of the start of the sprint 2dec 2012.

Hi Taraf,

You need different credentials to log into our Support site. If you haven't logged in before, you can create a new account from the main page, or request a password change if it's just been a while.

Hope that helps!

Hi Taraf,

In this case, please raise an issue in our OnDemand support http://support.atlassian.com, because we need to take a closer look at your instance to understand what is happening.

Cheers,

Clarissa.
