We just recently upgraded to JIRA v6.1.5 - prior to that we were using JIRA 5.
The project that I am working on right now is largely technical, but the stakeholders are not. We began using epics to bundle these small technical tasks into a larger "epic" that delivers a tangible component that is more easily tested in QA.
We have been closing these technical tasks when they are dev complete and when all the technical tasks are closed in an epic, we send the whole epic down the pipe to customer acceptance, VQA, UAT, QA, etc.
In JIRA 5 I was easily able to drag an epic into a sprint as we do with stories, but with JIRA 6, that functionality seems to have gone away. I've tried to manually enter my sprint ID into the epic, but that doesn't work either.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Especially the Scrum handling changed a lot. One Epic may include several issues, which are handled in different Sprints.
