Cannot find recently created issue in Jira Issue tab

I created an issue in my JIRA 5.2.7 and then click on the Issue tab, then Issues Reported By Me and I don't see the issue I just reported. I then update issue again, still nothing. Then I give the issue a component and it then shows up in the issue list. Any ideas what can be causing this?

Yes, the workflow was missing the re-index on the create. Thanks for the help!

Hi Mark,

It's sound like the issue is not searchable in the Issue Navigator after you created them. Thus, if you tried to create a new issue and run re-index, will the new issue searchable as per expected ? If yes, you might want to check if the Workflow transition used to create the issue has re-index the issue correctly.

Other than that, you might want to try disabling custom listener and additional plugins installed into this JIRA instance. Then, try to create a new issue and check if it's searchable or not.
