Is there a way to include the severity of the issue in the email sent on creating a new ticket?
The current implementation generates the ticket and send an email to the reporter with "Ticket No - Summary of the issue" in the subject.
Can we customize the subject of the email like "Ticket No - Priority - Summary of the issue"?
Based on the JIRA support guidance, I tried adding the following options $issue.priority.name , $issue.getPriority().name to the mail subject templates located in WEB-INF/classes/templates/email/ of the <jira-application-dir> in your JIRA Installation Directory. I'm not getting the result I want.
