Can we configure mail notifaction if we change value of a custom field ?

For example - We have a custom fileld namely "Criticality" and the values are "Blocker" and "Non Blocker". Now someone creates an issue and sets Criticality as Blocker. After that somebody change the value from Blocket to Non blocker. For this kind of changes a mail notification should be sent to a particular groupmail. Also could you please give an example code which we need to write for this purpose?

Do you mean if you can get a mail notification if you specificly change a custom field value?

You could write a Listener for that and then create an event to be triggered.
