Can't set up SSL

Brendan Holmes October 26, 2012

Hi,

I'm trying to switch from http to https in windows using instructions here:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Running+JIRA+over+SSL+or+HTTPS

When running config.bat, the JIRA Configuration Tool launches, but I lack the options on the Web Server tab. I only have http port and Control Port.

What am I doing wrong?

Brendan

I'm using 5.1.7. Rather than struggle through the six screens of instructions to make this work in 5.1.x, apparently v5.2 is imminent, so I'll wait for the nice GUI method of enabling SSL (using config.bat) in that.

Which version of JIRA? This is available only in the latest version (not sure of the exact version).

These are the directions for Jira 5.1.

The directions url you have is for 5.2 EAP release and OnDemand. Yes, it is confusing, but hopefully things can get back normal when 5.2 is released.

Jira Update Check does not tell us if you are using 5.1 or 5.2 EAP. Click on your adminstration link. Then use the system menu and click on troubleshooting and support. Scroll down until you find your "Jira Info" and find your version. I will bet you are using 5.1 and not 5.2.
