Can't set priority after import from GitHub

Dan Studebaker October 23, 2014

I import my project's issues into JIRA and it went surprisingly easily.  I wanted to set the priorities of all the imported issues since they don't have priorities in GitHub.  When I go to a bug report the Priority field is not there.  When I search for the field from the Admin drop down it says that the field isn't showing up because it is unset.  If I enter a new bug the priority field is populated by default, shows up in the bug report, and is editable.

Does anyone know how to set the fields in the imported bugs?

Probably something simple, but I can't figure it out, thanks for any help.

Hello Dan

Make sure that priority is showing in your views/pages (standard and edit).

And after that you can query for the issues with no priority and do a bulk change on them to assign a default priority.

That might work.

Awesome, thanks! For future reference, I did the following query in the search bar: priority is EMPTY AND status = open Then went to Tools->Bulk Change and followed the wizard to set a priority for all of the issues.
