Can't get a "Message Custom Field only" in my create issue.jspa? link

Hi everyone! I would love some help and guidance. 

 

I have created a "message custom field only" that I would like to use to display instructions for the end user when filling out their request, but the message field is NOT showing up. 

I know there is a jira know bug when updating custom field descriptions in the "field configuration" so I have tried that already, but I still can't seem to find out why it will NOT display in my page -

Any advice on what other settings I can check?

Welcome to Atlassian community!

 

Is this still an issue? If yes, this page displays the fields in the same order as your create issue screen (when you create an issue from the Jira UI) for the specified project and issue type.

You may go to Project Settings > Issues > Screens and check the create issue screen for the required issue type. If the field isn't added there, it won't show up on your createissue.jspa page as well.
