Can't find new Cloud Project when trying to bulk move stories

I am splitting a company-managed Jira project into 2 separate company-managed projects. When I start the Bulk Edit Move process my new company-managed project does not appear as an option. Is there something I need to turn on in my new company-managed project to allow it to appear in the drop-down option?

Hi @GlenellRosburg , thanks for your post.

A few questions, sorry if they seem obvious.

If you go to look in the list of all projects, do you see the new project?

Did you create the new project? Or did someone else? I'm asking to understand if you might be missing the browse project permission.

Have you successfully moved issues in bulk in this instance before? If not, you could be missing a global permission.

Let us know if the problem is still persisting and we will try to help you get this sorted out.

Cheers

Valerie,

1. Yes, I see the new project in the list of all projects.

2. I did not create the new project. Someone else set up the project. I am an administrator to the new project and have been updating workflows, screens, permissions, etc.

3. I have successfully moved issues in bulk before from a team-managed project to a company-managed project.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Hi @GlenellRosburg , thanks for your reply. Ok, please can you check the permission schemes of both the source and destination projects. Being an admin doesn't necessarily mean you have all the permissions available, even though that would be logical.

Please can you check you have create, browse, delete and move in the source project and create, browse and move in the destination project?

Thanks

Thank you so much. Permissions were the issue. I can now migrate stories. :)
